We are looking for a skilled A&P mechanic to maintain and repair our growing fleet of prototype autonomous firefighting rotorcraft. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them while aiming for maximum reliability and functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance to ensure aircraft readiness
  • Perform aircraft modifications
  • Keep aircraft maintenance and modification records up-to-date and accurate
  • Perform pre- and post-flight inspections
  • Tow, taxi and perform run ups in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
  • Ensure shop premises are maintained in a clean and orderly manner
  • Ensure compliance with all FARs, Operations Specifications, Company Policies, and Company Procedures

Basic Qualifications:

  • FAA-issued Aircraft Technician (Airframe & Powerplant) certificate
  • 3+ years operations or small aircraft maintenance experience
  • General fabrication and modification experience with significant Sheet Metal experience
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with rotorcraft
  • Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
  • Experience with the fabrication of test fixtures
  • Maintenance experience with two-stroke engines
  • Private or commercial pilot ratings
  • Experience with avionics integration & troubleshooting
  • Experience fabricating and modifying wire harnesses and pinning aerospace connectors

Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
