Every wildfire starts small. Rain contains wildfires within 10 minutes of ignition using a network of autonomous aircraft permanently installed throughout high-risk regions. We are fire sprinklers for the forest.

Rain is seeking to hire an organized, optimistic, and responsible Office Manager to help implement procedures and to coordinate administration duties in the office. As an office manager, your role is to create and maintain a pleasant and workable environment, and to ensure high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety. 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement
  • Maintaining office equipment and arranging necessary repairs
  • Ensuring equipment and tools are properly organized 
  • Owning equipment inventory before and after flight test operations
  • Managing contract and price negotiations with office vendors and service providers
  • Shipping and picking up orders 
  • Proactively identifying supplies that need to be restocked
  • Assisting in the onboarding process for new hires
  • Performing receptionist duties: greet visitors, and answer and direct phone calls
  • Attending office errands

Work Hours

As Office Manager at Rain, you will be working with us on-site for 25 hours/week.

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative, self-start, and identify improvements 
  • Excellent time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize work
    Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Two to three years of experience in an office management
  • Experience working in a shop environment
  • Examples of creating systems of organization
