Every wildfire starts small. Rain contains wildfires within 10 minutes of ignition using a network of autonomous drones permanently installed throughout high risk regions. We are fire sprinklers for the forest.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, integrate and test software for flight simulation and fire spread modeling, including the following:

  • 3D visualization
  • Faster-than-realtime mission modeling
  • Hardware in the loop simulation
  • Sensor emulation
  • Fault injection
  • Simulated encounters
  • Verification test support

Basic Qualifications:

  • MS or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or aerospace engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • Hands-on experience developing highly reliable software
  • Accustomed to writing high-quality code, in an efficient and well-documented manner
  • Self-starter with ability to take ownership of a project and drive it to completion.
  • Track record of working in fast-paced environments shipping product

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with aircraft or other vehicle simulations
  • Experience with 3D graphics
  • Experience with real-time systems programming
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop testing and sensor integration
  • Device driver writing
  • Experience with robotics
  • Experienced with Matlab & Simulink
  • Experienced in C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with DO-178C or similar formal development methodology.
